The course offers students an opportunity to undertake a thesis by research in the Facultys priority research area of social work.

Full-time: 1 year minimum/2 years maximum
Part-time: 2 years minimum/4 years maximum
Students should consult the Higher Degrees Regulations for information about admission, duration and thesis requirements.

Graduation requirements

To graduate students must satisfactorily complete a thesis which is equivalent to 128 points.

Course structure

Students should contact the Field of Research Coordinator to discuss possible research topics. In consultation with the Coordinator, each student will be allocated one of the following research subject codes and will enrol in that subject for the period of their candidature:

SOC601 Master Honours Research (Sociology) (part-time)

SOC602 Master Honours Research (Sociology) (full-time)

WEL601 Master Honours Research (Welfare) (part-time)

WEL602 Master Honours Research (Welfare) (full-time)
