This subject introduces students to the key international environmental issues and the impacts on natural ecosystems and human communities. The subject presents an overview of the methods used by governments, communities, agencies and non-government organisations to address the key environmental problems facing the World today. Students are able to learn about a range of environmental issues from a multitude of speakers, all specialists in their fields, active at the forefront of research or management. The subject has no residential school. Students completing this subject can critically reflect on a range of case studies to propose ways to address a range of global environmental issues.
