ITE518 Agile Project Management (8)

This subject will introduce the principles and practices of Agile Project Management. Students will learn the background and origins of various Agile concepts and methodologies. Scrum will be examined in detail, as well as the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe�). Students will also study the strengths and weaknesses of Agile, and the steps involved in managing an Agile project.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
  • be able to compare and contrast the differences between Agile and other project management methodologies;
  • � be able to identify the strengths and weaknesses of Agile and leverage or mitigate them in the correct situations;
  • be able to create elements of an Agile project management plan and apply the practical decisions and management actions of an Agile project within context;
  • be able to understand stakeholder strategies and create engagement plans for the different people in an Agile project;
  • be able to interpret and apply various principles, phases and activities of the Scrum methodology; and
  • be able to implement SAFe� principles to larger projects.
