240 hour placement within a part of Industry of their choosing working beside an industry mentor.
The purpose of this subject is to prepare students to enter their chosen career in a supported manner that encourages personal and professional development and integrates them into the agricultural network. Students will spend 240 hours working beside a mentor within Industry, applying their academic learning in a professional setting and developing a portfolio of their employability and technical skills. The compulsory residential school will prepare students for their time in industry by addressing topics around reflective practice, workplace dynamics, communication, safety in the workplace and professional conduct. It is intended that students will leave this subject with a refined resume and renewed awareness of their personal brand and marketability.

If studying at the postgraduate level, students require a Bachelor degree in a similar field of study or to gain approval from the Course Director.

This subject contains a 4 day Compulsory Residential School.
The 4 day residential school will provide the opportunity to immerse students in a community of practice by introducing them to people working in the field in agriculture. Importantly, it will be an opportunity for students to be supported in the development of their Professional development Plans and to prepare them for placement within industry.
Travel and accommodation may be required by students to attend the Internship if it is not located locally and the residential school on CSU campus.
